Wrath of the Lich King Patch - Before Expansion

A content patch is to be released in the coming weeks for the players of World of Warcraft, in preparation for the much anticipated expansion Wrath of the Lich King. This early release patch is designed to ‘bridge current game content with that of the expansion and will contain some exciting changes and additions’ posted by Eyonix of Blizzard this afternoon.

Some of those additions include:

*Barber shops in all of the capital cities - Change your characters look with a cut, dye and even new markings or horns!

*New class spells and talents - Get a taste of the expansions new talents and spells for each class.

*Two brand new Arenas- Featuring challenging new layouts, terrain hazards, and moving obstacles!

*New Profession: Inscription- ‘Players will be able to select Inscription as one of their two professions and level up to a skill level of 375 with it. Upon the release of Wrath of the Lich King, players who purchase and install the expansion will be able to continue leveling in Inscription and the other professions beyond 375.’ Start saving up herbalism mats!!

*Guild Calendar- Be able to mark important dates for your guild in this new add-on! Including who will be attending, times, and notes!

*Zeppelin towers outside Orgrimmar and Tirisfal Glades- A new look for the zeppelins will be available!

*Stormwind Harbor- A new harbor will be put in the city of Stormwind, though nothing is mentioned if you will be able to go anywhere as of yet.

*Hunter Pet Skill Revamp- A complete new way to spec you pet will be available! Including talents trees!

Although this is just a list of the few things they will be releasing in the new patch, the changes are quite exciting! Eyonix will post the full patch notes as soon as they’re available. To read the full report and to check on the upcoming patch notes go to the world of warcraft forums under the Wrath of the Lich King section.

I know I, for one, am excited!

I’m scared that they’re nerfing salvation with this patch.. I’m still trying to raid Black Temple and kill Illidan :x

Excited for new talents though, especially since I hate my mage in arenas (I’d like to win more a little more … :P) and am kinda bored with my mage being arc/frost

    I like my ponytail :p

Hopefully the new patch won’t change the computer graphic requirements I’ve heard Wrath might make me upgrade my PC (and I cant afford to yet).

^ Fred I think you’ll be able to dumb down any graphic upgrades the expansion may bring. It would be incredibly stupid of Blizzard to make it unplayable to the “average” computer owner since most of their playing population probably don’t own their own computers.

Hopefully but there’s always the push from the bleeding edge to get everyone to upgrade :P
