A new online gaming “community” called Miss Bimbo has taken the world by storm! It’s the SIMS meets BARBIE.com on steroids! No, I’m not kidding….
First of all, Perzephone and I both “tried” the game out. The first thing that we noticed is that the site moves so sloooooooooow. On my first several attempts to create an account, my computer timed out… and thats saying a lot because I have a super PC that puts most to shame. Today, I thought I’d try again, and guess what? I couldn’t even register! It kept saying that my information was incorrect! What?! You mean they keep tabs on me? Well, it was correct… but if you guys decide to try the game and actually get passed all the nonsense, prepare for a nasty ride!
First and foremost, the game is called Miss Bimbo… it’s targeted toward girls between ages 9 to 16. Hmmmm… a place where all the little girls play with BIMBO dolls… I know, I know I should give the game a break … after all, I told Aktrez that I was going to plug myself into the matrix because it sounded like something I’d completely submerge myself in! I can see why it could be so addicting! You can create a doll that is the most perfect YOU as you can be. Who doesn’t wanna be perfect? Even the people we think are perfect have insecurities…. but I’m getting side tracked here… the point is, your BIMBO can be made in YOUR vision of perfection…. BUT WAIT, IT GETS BETTER!! You have to keep her alive by feeding her… and she does have a target weight that she has to stay at in order to stay happy. You can give her DIET PILLS and BREAST AUGMENTATION….. BTW, I’m not yelling, I’m just emphasizing.
Here are a few inserts from articles I thought you’d…. enjoy *ugh*:
“A website that encourages girls as young as 9 to embrace plastic surgery and extreme dieting in the search for the perfect figure.”
“Players keep a constant watch on the weight, wardrobe, wealth and happiness of their character to create “the coolest, richest and most famous bimbo in the world”. Competing against other children they earn “bimbo dollars” to buy plastic surgery, diet pills, facelifts, lingerie and fashionable nightclub outfits.”
“Founded by Nicholas Jacquart, Miss Bimbo began in France where it racked up 1.2 million players. Jacquart recently moved to London and established a company that pimps the site in the U.K., where he’s attracted 200,000 members, upsetting people left and right. ‘This is as lethal as pro-anorexia Websites. A lot of children will get caught up with the extremely damaging and appalling messages,’ said a doctor who treats girls ages 8 to 18 with eating disorders.”
“Since it’s free and we’re well past the impressionable age of 16, we registered on Miss Bimbo …. First, the site’s hella slow …. Also, though registration requires a parent’s e-mail, our “parents” got no confirmation while the Cut did.”
“Once players run out of virtual cash, the contestant can send text messages costing 1.50 pounds each to top up their accounts.”
“‘It is one thing if a child recognises it as a silly and stupid game. But the danger is that a nine-year-old fails to appreciate the irony and sees the bimbo as a cool role model. Then the game becomes a hazard and a menace,’ the Telegraph quoted Bill Hibberd, spokesman for parents’ rights group Parentkind, as saying.”
You get the picture. Now, normally I support people doing what they want.. and I SUPPORT GAMING (obviously because I game constantly)…. but CHILDREN are playing this game… and CHILDREN don’t always know what is best for them. In its defense, this could be a nifty little game if diet pills and plastic surgery (among other things) weren’t involved. Parents are complaining… but this is where they need to do their research before consenting to this. So, WISE UP parents!
I know that some people will say, “OMG, it’s just a game get over it…” This is not just a game…. Assassin’s Creed, COD4 and Resident Evil are games, but those are targeted toward mature audiences…. Miss Bimbo targets young impressionable minds who don’t need this kind of outlook on gaming. There are other cool games out there for kids…. Gaming gets enough heat without something like this ruining it.

Does it mean that I’m a bad mom if I allowed my kids to sign up for their own account?
Ok seriously that thing is just wrong, who would think it’s a good idea to encourage girls to diet?
Oi! that site is so bogged down I was unable to try it out completely. I am more offended that this is geared towards very young girls….to encourage them to embrace extreme dieting when your BF brakes up with you??? or that plastic surgery is the way to go to get attention from boys wth?!?!
I even read the local community news paper about this and yah o.0 I mean it be fun if it was geared to old kids like us.
I think I see alot of girls growing up having image and self issues from this game tbh.
Honestly, even I have image problems due to things like this. Sure, it’s a game. OMG.. even though I’m like TOTALLY blonde and stuff.
That being said, the idea behind why this is popular is the reason so many women have self esteem/eating issues. The “Hollywood need to be thin and perfect” concept has seeped its way into the dolls our kids play with (Bratz), the movies we watch (Mean Girls), The Clothes we buy (Mary Kate and Ashley) and even the games we play! Why is it that Paris and Britney are more famous for their bad behavior than for the careers that have made them millions? Does this teach our children that acting bad and being a “bimbo” is what gets attention!?
OMG! As if the media wasn’t enough, now we have to have interactive plastic surgery propaganda?! I am really outraged, thank you traycee for bringing this to our attention. Things like this are destroying the youth’s perception of real beauty.
Ya know, I really hate talking down about games… but I work with kids all the time… and they are soooooo easily influenced.
Just the other day at one of my Archaeological digs, some guy yelled at his kid for not being smart enough because of all the “gaming” he does!!! Of course….I chimed in and said, “actually, gaming can stimulate one’s mind for creativity, and your son isn’t dumb, he’d be a great little Archaeologist!”
Parents just need to be more in tune with their kids. They really do need guidance.
P.S. The thought of a man creating this site for little girls gives me the creeps!!!
Also, older men can sign up and play…. you guys know what I’m getting at…… CREEP CITY!!
I have no problem with the game other than its target demographic. God knows more offensive and degrading material exists, but that content is intended for adults intelligent enough to know the difference between fantasy and reality. Marking something like this towards little girls is sick.
I agree with you VG. I am actually guilty of wanting to play this game. Mocking “Hollywood” is fun for adults who know the difference between dangerously fake and real.
A 9 year old wearing her Mary Kate and Ashley and combing her Bratz dolls hair while listening to the radio and singing about her “humps”… does not.
V.G. pretty much hit the nail on the head. The target demographic is the big problem.
By the way the Bratz dolls are the spawn of Satan. Have you ever woken up from a good nights sleep to find one sitting on your night stand just staring at you? I would rather wake up to find out that I was married to Shrek than that thing.
I definitely agree…. adult content needs to be kept for adults only. I’d play the game, but I keep getting booted off.
>:(
… but I’d rather have the option of making her look like a toad for kicks! Hahahaha… I’m mean!!

… … … yeah…
LOL tray lol and yes I would play the game if I didn’t time out on the server
This is way more for our demographic age then 9 year olds WTH man
P.S. After just watching that video…..
Seriously, the game is not bad it self, I played it the server is bogged down due to the lil girls playing this game. I had 3 girls requesting to add me as there friend and there profile age ranged from 6 to 11 which really made me worried. the screwed up part is that when you register it says “we take pride in protecting your childrens ID and age… NOOOOO you display it when your request a friend.
I am just offended on how that this is giving the innocent little girls that they have to be unhealthy thin and that you have to look THIS way to get noticed by anybody. I saw the video from CNN and Fox and I’m am more upset that this creator a guy aiming this to young girls and the reporter asked him this question “what would you do if someone called you lil sister bimbo or if she did this in real life?” his answer ” he wouldn’t like it at all” OK WTF?!?!? then why make a game that is so adult oriented and then aim it to kids? Is this how he views real women?
I have officially given up trying to register… it just won’t let me on. I’ve tried so many times today and I keep getting error messages or booted off. *booooo*
I’m gonna go hang out at barbie.com for awhile!
A friend of mine tipped me off on new investigations toward “Miss Bimbo!”

So bad!!
Oi! >.<
I guess the site is closed down for now due to the investigation. I just don’t know. :S
Wow! Seriously??? I think its best tbh…a game like that is not for girls 9 to 16 or at all. I smell lawsuit too
If it makes everyone feel better… girls should eat what they want… and be loved just the same.
So where’s the boob and junk-in-the-trunk customization settings at? That’ll keep me entertained for a little while.
this game is for pedophiles.
I heard about this on Fox News last week. Not a very nice game at all for the target demographic. It takes a sick and twisted mind to create a game like this for little girls to play. I think Beau was partly right that this game is for pedophiles……add to that it was also created by a pedophile.
Otherwise, it would be a fun satirical game for adult women to play….or you gamer girls, anyway. Take it one step further and allow men to create accounts. Their focus is to attain wealth and power so they can get the Bimbos.
