My bags are packed, my beret is neatly place upon my head and I am already salivating thinking of those crepes. That’s right folks - Je ne suis pas en ligne à Paris!

I will be boarding a plane tomorrow morning for the Blizzard Worldwide Invitational in Paris. What is the WWI? The Worldwide Invitational is a two-day event bringing together the company and gamers in a convention atmosphere, featuring:

* A chance to try World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King and StarCraft II
* Discussion panels with Blizzard developers
* Artist and developer signings
* Competitive and casual player tournaments
* Costume, dance and other player contests with great prizes
* Live musical performances
* Merchandise; a silent auction; and much more…

There have been many rumors circulating around the interwebs about a possible big red demon resurfacing on the scene. While no one has the exact details or official word, you can bet that GEN will be on hand to get the firsthand on this fast spreading rumor.

Blizzard has also announced that visitors of the 2008 Blizzard Entertainment Worldwide Invitational will be able to witness members of the well-known European raiding guild Nihilum enter the Sunwell Plateau and fight some of the most dangerous enemies in the World of Warcraft. Nihilum, best known for their world-first defeats of many World of Warcraft bosses, will be present with three players and one shoutcaster on both days of the Worldwide Invitational. That should be an interesting cast!

Let’s hope that our good friend Leroy Jenkins is around so we can get some GEEEEEEEENN LOOOOOOOOOOOVE!
