The gaming industry as a whole is becoming a huge market, and a big part of that is what is known as “professional gaming.” Gaming tournaments have been going on for over a decade. Today the number of players, tournaments, and sponsors have exploded oand it’s becoming a lucritive profession for a lot of people. As a part of an already professional and competitive gaming clan, PMS Clan, I get asked quite frequently what someone can do to become a professional gamer. Although I, myself, am not a professional gamer, I have known, played, and worked with quite a few pro’s. While visiting my sister in Santa Cruz (a.k.a. Land of the Lost Boys) this weekend, I got to watch Cloverfield for the umpteenth time! It got me thinking about the 2nd movie that will be made. As you all know, the movie won’t have different monsters and there won’t be a different storyline… it will be the same movie but from a different perspective … *groovy*!

At first I was dissipointed in Mark Wahlberg as Max Payne in the new movie, in theaters October 17th. However, the more and more I see images of it, the more I feel that Max Payne as a whole has been done justice. The overall look of the movie IS Max Payne. As an expecting mother, coming up with a good name for my future child is something I’ve spent a lot of time pondering. There are a lot of things that come into play when picking your kid’s names! You start to think about your role models, family names, what the initials sound like, what bad words rhyme with it, and so much more. I was named after my father’s favorite flower, which is nice that I was named after something that my dad held close to his heart.

When I opened up my Marvel Pulse e-newsletter yesterday, something was different: the Skrulls have taken over! Well, okay, we know they’ve invaded the Marvel Universe with Secret Invasion, but now they’re taking over the internet we know and love with the tagline, “Embrace Change.”
I was watching the news this morning before class when I heard a report about an elderly lady who died in her backyard in Long Beach yesterday. Police were on the scene at 1 a.m. this morning, investigating what they thought was a natural death (heart attack).
