Do you know who Steve Ouimette is? If you aren’t familiar with the name yet, you will be soon.

Steve Ouimette is best know for performing the cover version of “The Devil Went Down to Georgia” (Charlie Daniels Band) for the video game Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock, in which the parts normally played on the fiddle, are instead played on an electric guitar. Aside from this track, Ouimette also recorded seven other songs for the game and also made a version of the Christmas carol “We Three Kings”, which was released as downloadable content for Guitar Hero III. Ouimette has recently released three original songs, which are currently available on iTunes for only $1 a song! You can also check them out on his Myspace Music page. Although he can clearly rock out on songs like Devil Went Down to Georgia, and 80’s hair band music, his original songs are actually quite chill. They remind me a bit of Damian Rice or Howie Day. Everyone should definitely check him out!!
