If this isn’t one of the biggest bitch-slaps to HD DVD and the format war that I’ve seen so far, then I don’t know what is.
Cargo Cosmetics is now carrying a line of makeup called blu_ray for those wanting to spackle away their imperfections for high-definition filming. Needless to say, the makeup industry just round house kicked HD DVD to the chin and spit on its momma’s fine china collection.

Check out these high-definition ingredients:
Photochromatic Pigments
Peptide Chain and Hyaluronic Acid Derivate Spheres
Micronized Minerals
Irregular particle size that diffuses light and creates optical blurring
I don’t know what any of that means, but I think I’ve been convinced. I, too, want irregular sized micronesian mentos smeared on my face.
(Apparently, Cargo is allowed to use the blu_ray name since they did the ole switcheroo and used an _ rather than an - as its done in Blu-ray. Noice.)

ha, interesting.
Cargo is good make-up though. I use their eyeshadows.

Uh huh. Hmm, I will stick to MAC. It is what I know and that is good enough for me.

Strange, and I would have thought ‘hi-definition’ would make a better name for make-up. Talk about jumping on the band wagon. Is it also limited in it’s selection and over-priced?

Yep, very limited. And definitely over-priced.

The final nail in the coffin for the now inrelevant HD DVD.

Interesting and kinda scary at the same time. I don’t think I’d try and apply anything that said “blu_ray” on my face, but i’d definitely be pretty perplexed by it.

oops irrelevant not INRELEVANT, d’oh.

Stopped in to Sephora yesterday for some other items, and saw this. The price actually wasn’t too bad.. it was like $59 for a shimmer brush, an eye shadow thingie (4 colors I think), mascara & some other stuff. I can’t remember.
Anyways, didn’t look like anything special really, it was shimmery.
Cargo does have nice make-up though, so I would suspect that if you like shimmery stuff, this is pretty good. Also, Sephora lets you sample & return open stuff, so if you don’t like it, you could always just take it back.

I should pick some up to “test out” and post up about. Then, you know, return it.
