Nikko Home Electronics released the much anticipated limited-edition R2-D2 DVD projector complete with Millenium Falcon remote that makes me want to punch Watto in the face from tear-inducing joy. Or hatred. Whichever is fine as long as his Old Spice Toydarian ass stays off my ceiling projection.

The projector, which is 1/2 scale to that of the real Arturito*, was actually featured at last year’s CES but was never sold to the public due to its less-than-impressive specs. After some tweaks, it actually didn’t go on sale until ‘08 to the tune of $2900. Sure, it’s a little tacky, overpriced, and it may or may not help in getting that second date. But, hey, he spins!

Now, where’s the TIE Fighter surround-sound speakers?
