If you’re like me and love the X-men, you’ve probably secretly dreamed of enrolling at Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters (aka the Xavier Institute for Higher Learning). Dreamed of training in the Danger Room and learning physics from Beast … Well, so we’re not mutants. That’s no reason why we can’t boast our fandom by donning shirts that show our spirit for our favorite school we don’t actually attend. Erm … right? RIGHT!
We’ve mentioned it before, but if you missed it, ThinkGeek is one of my favorite online stores which sells a plethora of geeky swag. From t-shirts and other apparel to geek toys and gadgets, a gift from TG would make any geek happy, no matter what kind he (or she, and there’s babydoll tees now to boost) brags about being.
And now for today’s feature presentation …
X Marks the Spot
In lovely Westchester County, New York, you’ll find the grounds of the Xavier Institute For Higher Learning. It’s a magnet school (get it? magnet?) that’s actually cool to go to. Imagine having Kitty Pryde as your Computer Science teacher, and P.E. classes taught by Wolverine. We bet a note from your mom doesn’t get you out of close quarters combat class with him.
Now we have a shirt for students and former students of the illustrious Xavier Institute For Higher Learning*. We were going to put a picture of the X-Mansion and campus on the shirt, but it’s been destroyed so many times, we weren’t sure which version to use, so we just went with the crest. It’s probably one of the few schools where you can’t get renter’s insurance coverage for your dorm because it’s too high risk. So instead of spending that money to protect your stuff each month, just put the stuff in storage and spend your money on this shirt. Keep it on your body and not in your closet. Less likely to be destroyed that way.
Xavier Institute for Higher Learning printed in white around (and inside) a red logo on a black 100% cotton t-shirt.
*We apologize to alumni who attended before Uncanny X-Men #319.
The Xavier Institute For Higher Learning tee is in stock in S–XXL sizes from $16.99–$17.99 (based on size).
