This time, it’s you vs the world!
It’s been about 4 months since the Wii Fit launch. It received average to above average reviews from most of the gaming insiders around the world, and some semi-nice reviews from the fitness world. This video give it an “fun” review, and although the tester rarely entered the “fat-burning” zone, she said it was better than nothing. So what about people who don’t already work out, and like the benefit of the at-home, and interactive work out… did it work? Well, here’s a great success story from “Naoko Suki”, a gaming forum buddy of mine!
A huge disappointment for gaming enthusiasts, tickets for the gaming convention hosted by Blizzard Entertainment in Anaheim from October 10 to 11, were quickly (and I will say, mysteriously) sold out within one hour over two consecutive days.

Hold on, stop the presses. What exactly is going on here?
UPDATE: Press release from Eidos Interactive and Warner Brothers Interactive Entertainment.
This is going to be a quick post. I’d like to introduce you all to the latest model version of the 3D British Bombshell we all know and love dearly. 23 year old Alison Carroll of Croydon, England apparently has the moves to back up the beauty to be the new face and spokeswoman for the Tomb Raider franchise that just seems to never end. While I don’t claim to be a fashion expert, I know a thing or two about style. The designer in me (or cosplayer) has me regularly storing and compartmentalizing details about character design, costumes and even the hairstyles found in many of the games I play. Recently – when staring at the cover art for Metal Gear Solid 4 – I began to question how Snake managed to get away with such a dated haircut for so long. The query resulted in a wild goose chase to track down some of the most extreme hairstyles found in video-game history. Some are eccentric, some are impractical, and some are outright impossible – but they are all worth checking out. Joan Rivers, eat your heart out.
If you’re like me, you probably use pretty much anything and everything as a distraction to keep from doing important things like working, eating, and working. This can range from looking up a single piece of trivia on IMDB (and eventually awakening several hours later in an alleyway in Mexico with no recollection of how you got there but the sudden confidence that you can beat all your friends at Scene-It), to making Becky and Meagan repeatedly fight each other to the death in Soulcalibur IV. Well now you can add yet another distraction to the reasons why neither of us is a successful millionaire: The Music of Video Games.
I told myself I was gonna be nice and let this slide… but I couldn’t resist! These people deserve to be called out on a MORON MOMENT! (more…)
