Burst Angel is set in Toyko sometime after the year 2020. The series starts off with a young man named Kyohei Tachibana who is studying to be a culinary chef. Kyohei is traveling down a city street and becomes caught up in a shoot out between a woman and some male gangsters. He escapes the situation unharmed with the help of the girl and learns her name is Jo. He meets the three other girls that Jo works and lives with. The leader’s name is Sei, Jo’s best friend is Meg, and the little girl genius is Amy. The ladies decide they could use Kyohei’s help in the kitchen and hire him as their new cook.
