It has been a rumor for quite sometime now that possibly we might see in the future some Beatles music appearing in Rock Band and/or Guitar Hero games. This rumor seems to be picking up speed and actually getting some truth behind it. Activision and MTV Games are in talks with Apple Corps (the company created by the Beatles to oversee all of their music and videos rights) to get these rock gods into their games.

I have to admit, I have sort of an addiction to songs about Superman. Still, I love songs about heroes in general and even started a playlist on imeem.com to that effect. But never before have I found a whole album devoted to the Marvel superhero, Captain America. Well … until now, that is.

I had the chance to visit Okinawa, Japan several years ago, and one of the things I’ll always remember is what one of the locals said to me, “musicians are outcasts, they are not respected, especially female musicians.” Like many of you, I am absolutely in love with the Japanese culture. Japan is a contradiction of old traditions and customs mixed with some of the craziest street fashion and music that I have ever seen/heard. That being said, I would like to introduce GACKT… one of Japans hottest Rockstars!

Hollywire was on the Red Carpet at the Danity Kane, “Welcome to the Dollhouse,” album release party at Opera in Hollywood last Thursday. The album was just released last week and with sales grossing over 236,000 copies in the first few days the album instantly skyrocketed into the 2nd biggest opening of the year (only behind Jack Johnson’s “Sleep Through the Static”).

As many of you know, there isn’t much love for the female singer in Rock Band. The only good song is Maps by the Yeah Yeah Yeahs because Karen O has a unique, but beautiful voice. In my opinion, I think the Hole song lead by Courtney Love is an insult to women vocalists and has no place in such a great game. The Garbage song is just plain trash and no fun to sing. Enough complaining, I want to share the songs that I think should be in the game to represent how awesome we women are in the music world.
