Check out some new posters of the 2009 Watchmen movie after the jump, and tell us what you think. I’m worried these posters—while great for fanboys (or fangirls, like myself)—won’t draw in people who aren’t familiar with the graphic novel. In fact, I think they’ll be turned off by them.
I thought I’d give myself something interesting to post while at SDCC. Granted, geek tattoos aren’t a new concept, I thought it’d be a fun way to get to know some of my fellow congoers. Other than cosplaying, wearing shirts or gear, sporting tattoos of your favorites is a great way to show your dedication. Unfortunately, doing anything productive while in costume in a con is almost impossible, so I didn’t get too many people, and alas… I didn’t get any names either. I know, I know, while I managed to snap photos and share a bit of chitchat, I never carried a pen and paper with me and took no names! So if you see yourself, please speak up! (more…)
Miyazaki has done it again! With his new movie Gake no ue no Ponyo, Miyazaki is pushing the animators and voice actors’ abilities in this new movie where 75% of the movie is under water. Drawing characters and voicing them under the sea is no easy task, but if Disney can do it, Studio Ghibli can do it. The story is about a five year old boy named Sosuke and the goldfish Princess named Ponyo. She is trying to become a human when Sosuke and her meet.

Well, the big week has come and gone and while there will be MANY more pictures to come, here is a pictorial recap of the week that was Comic Con 2008
The story of a low-rent super-villain, the hero who keeps beating him up, and the cute girl from the laundromat he’s too shy to talk to. Featuring Neil Patrick Harris as Dr. Horrible, Nathan Fillion as Captain Hammer, Felicia Day as Penny and a cast of dozens. Written by Joss Whedon, Maurissa Tancharoen, Jed Whedon, and Zack Whedon.
One of the most amazing internet sensations in the past 5 years …. and you can quote me on that!

Put a smile on that face, because according to Gary Oldman (yeah, why is that Oldman is the one cool enough to confirm this piece of info?), a movie-to-game adaptation of the summer hit, The Dark Knight, is on its way.
UPDATE: There’s going to be a Watchmen video game, as well! More info on that after the jump.

On March 6 of next year, DC’s Watchmen—directed by the guy who did Dawn of the Dead and 300—will hit theaters. Those of you who will be seeing The Dark Knight (or who have already seen it—me included, ha!) can expect to see the new teaser on the big screen. But if you don’t want to wait, or you just want to watch it again, you can check it and some info out after the jump.

Word on the street is that this teaser trailer will be showing before The Dark Knight this weekend. If you already saw the midnight showing of The Dark Knight, then you already know what’s coming… the machines WILL be taking over by next summer (2009)!! (more…)

ItsJustSomeRandomGuy has created another funny video—this time addressing whether Batman can handle the pressure of the hype for The Dark Knight.
