As PrincessTwilight brought to your attention recently, Kannaya and I joined her at Anime Detour this past month and had a fantastic time cosplaying. Kannaya and I had been planning a set of costumes from one of our favorite anime shows for some time before we decided to also rock the femme-Mario look. I’m jumping on board with the adventures in bodypainting, sorry Aktrez I can’t let you hog all the fun. Being a 501st girl myself I couldn’t believe my eyes the first time I had seen this red scantily clad tattooed sith twilek. She originally appeared in the Star Wars Legacy comic preview released by Dark Horse. Later on she was known as Darth Talon, before anyone knew who she was a girl named Cortney had tried her on for size.

Actually, my FIRST adventure in cosplaying! That’s right, this past weekend I attended my first convention, Anime Detour 2008 in Bloomington, MN, and did my first cosplay with Kannaya and VirtualGirl at my side. We dressed up as Mario (Virtualgirl), Wario (Kannaya), and Luigi (myself), and our friend Nick accompanied us as “Prince Peach.”
Okay, so it’s not Blu_Ray make-up, but I had share this with everyone! I found an amazing site with an incredible selection of eye make-up, and it’s cheap! (more…)
