A community of men & women who embody the next generation of pop culture
Even with Yun-Fat Chow playing the hilariously perverted Master Roshi, there seems to be little hope amongst hardcore fans of the Dragonball series for a quality film to ever hit theaters. These pictures from the film don’t help much either.
It’s that time again! Lets check out what happened in May 2008, and take a look at what’s coming in June!

As many of you know, the Girls Entertainment Network hosts a large variety of cosplayers – including many of our editors! Recently I took on a cosplay photoshoot for a character I have loved for some time – Chi from Chobits. Read on for costume, concept and shoot details – and of course…photos!
For anyone who has ever been to a convention, you’ve met the “Creepy Fanboy”. There’s the Creepy Comic Fanboy, the Creepy Anime Fanboy, the Creepy Sci Fi Fanboy, the Creepy Enter-Anything-Here Fanboy. But my personal favorite is the Creepy Cosplay Fanboy. Mostly sweet and harmless, they’ve created some of the most memorable moments I’ve had during my convention going experience. So here is my tribute to the most misunderstood person at any convention!
The cosplay masquerade, the high energy highlight of every anime, fantasy, or sci fi convention. It’s you’re first masquerade performance. You’ve hand casted every resin accessory to your sword. You’ve stitched every hem and vectored every graphic perfectly. You’ve practiced your routine flawlessly for months. Now you’re back-stage with a crowd of over 10,000 hungry fans roaring with excitement outside those curtains. With sweaty palms and a racing heart, the curtains raise and the blazing lights hit your face. Now what?!

Recently, Kotaku ran a story on how Master Chief is rarely seen in public. Granted, we have seen many rip-off’s of Halo’s infamous war hero. That being said, the Chief is not as much of a hermit as Kotaku seems to think.
The artwork of Adam Hughes has always been on my radar, especially since he tried his hand (very successfully) at bringing Lara Croft to life several years back. However, over the last few years I have found it virtually impossible to ignore Adam’s work – not that any who appreciates fantastic comic imagery would want to. His stuff is popping up everywhere. Workingsuccessfully in the business for over 20 years now, Adam has illustrated long runs of industry defining characters. Recently, Adam has worked with Wonder Woman, Catwoman, Tomb Raider, Serenity and Star Wars. He has also brought several leading ladies of comics – Black Cat, Emma Frost, Mary Jane and soon to be Rogue - into reality in the form of Sideshow Collectable Statues.
