“Comic Crusader”

My name is Stephanie and I was born and raised near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I’m a big fan of all things geek. I grew up playing games like The Legend of Zelda and Super Mario Brothers on the NES and soon moved into the PlayStation world (having a dad who used to work for Sony had its perks!). I was hooked since my first PS game, Crash Bandicoot 2. A lover of RPGs, action-adventure, platform, and horror games (among other genres, of course), some of my favorite games and series include Crash Bandicoot, Legend of Legaia 1, Resident Evil, Jak, Tomb Raider, Final Fantasy, Legend of Zelda, Silent Hill, Super Mario Brothers, Guitar Hero, and Prince of Persia.
Though I’m only a recent inductee to the comic book universe, I’ve always had a love of Batman and X-men (especially Wolverine), and I enjoyed watching the animated series cartoons as a kid. My comic knowledge—and collection—is always growing!
I’m currently an English major and I hope to someday write and publish a novel. After I graduate, I would love to write for a magazine or find an outlet in the gaming, film, or comic industry. Along with writing for GEN, I have my own blog, What Is Techno Again?, in which I write about pop culture and do movie/book reviews. I also write comic book/movie reviews for ComicNerd in my spare time.
In my free time, I enjoy reading, listening to music, drinking coffee, blogging/writing, playing with my cats, gaming, and watching movies. I’m also fond of Star Wars, science fiction/fantasy, and songs about Superman.

Aha! The elusive WITA! Mah-velous dah-ling!
BTW, your cats are kyoot!
Thanks, Traycee!
Haha, that’s my cat, Buffy (yes, after the Slayer, LOL)!
Hey Steph. I knew there was a reason I liked chatting with you. We have a lot in common.
Anyway, it was nice to read more about you. And can I make a quick reading suggestion, if you haven’t read it all ready. Pick up Neil Gaiman’s American Gods. I think you might really like it if you get to it.
I definitely will check that out, Ricky, thanks!
I think I’m going to start a book list, because I always get so many suggestions from friends, hee!
This girl writes the best comic book coverage on the internet. Period.
Aww, thanks, John.
(Lol, you registered! Cool beans!
)
(Are dudes allowed to register? Whatever. You write beautifully.)
Of course they are! (They’re allowed to guest blog, too, I believe.)
Your han solo picture makes me drool. Now I have to go get a paper towel to wipe up my desk. Boo for drooly workspaces! <3
LOL! Haha, I know! God, I’m such a sucker for Ford …
Hehe WITA… is there something that follows you around in the air above your head, because other than your “primary” picture every picture I’ve seen of you you’re looking up above you like you’re being attacked!
Or… are you just keeping an eye open for Batman? =P
By the way, want to race in writing a book? (You should be a regular visitor to the “Wordcraft” part of my blog, which I intend to be about creative writing!)
Glad you’re part of the crew here!
LOL Druid, that was the best thing I read all day. Thank you for making me laugh.
Hahaha, I have no idea. I have no skillz in posing for pictures. But I do like the Batman theory. I think I’ll go with that. ;D
And well, my friend did say in a comment to this post (pics where I’m NOT looking up at the sky … sans one, hehe) that it’s as if I was gazing up at Bale … I like that theory, too.
I might race you this summer, when I have time again, hahahaha! Consider it ON!
Aw, thanks, man! I’m glad to be part of the crew, too.
