Traycee’s Rabbit Hole

I AM THE “ANIME ANGEL!”

EARLY LIFE: From the moment I was born, everyone knew that I would turn out to be… different. When I was 5, I believed with all my heart that unicorns would break through the fabric that divided our dimension from theirs to rescue me; I honestly believed that I didn’t belong here. I lived in a world where everything was edible, animals could talk, I could fly, and a carebear was president. I used to record my dreams in a journal because I thought they contained vital information that I’d need in the other world. I also thought that if I stepped in the shadow of a cloud, I would find myself in Wonderland. Every so often, my parents would catch me on the roof late at night, wishing on my favorite star. Needless to say I had a very active imagination.

Now that I’m older, I don’t believe that I was born in the wrong dimension, but I do believe I was born in the wrong era.

GAMING: Like many of you, my father introduced me to gaming.  Kangaroo on the Atari 2600 was my biz!   My addiction fueled my ever growing habit of daydreaming (which was constantly). By the age of 9, I had played/beaten so many games that I decided to create a list in order to keep track of them. While doing so, I came up with a scoring system that rated these games by fun factor, graphics, difficulty, end boss, story line, music, etc. Unfortunately by the age of 14, “the list” was lost during my move to Hawaii.  I’ve thought about following in my brother’s footsteps to compete in the gaming world but could never afford it.  :(

ANIME: Wow, what to say about tentacles *lol*!  I’m a sick and twisted girl.  A friend of mine in high school recorded a mixed anime VHS tape for me.  The first anime on it, and the first one I EVER saw was Legend of the Overfiend.  I can’t say that I was scarred for life because I laughed throughout the entire movie.  After that was Battle Angel, then Crying Freeman, then Vampire Hunter D, then Mermaid Forest, then Gunbuster!  I anime like a crackhead ’s crack!

*note: I’ve seen anime’s before the one’s mentioned above… but anime’s on Nickelodeon do not count!

FUN FACTS

I joined the Air Force because I was bored… I ended up serving 8 years.

I have a foul mouth.  Worse than a drunken sailors’ actually.

Trixie is my alter ego.  :)

I got my scuba certification during a weekday because I didn’t feel like going to work.

I still wish on shooting stars. I also love going to the canyons to watch lunar eclipses while eating a bag of doritos and slamming root beer!

I support lemonade stands.

I get feelings of nostalgia frequently.

“Audie-whatie?”

I am 100% against animal cruelty!

I’ve been performing in plays, poetry readings, circus acts, etc. since I was 5.

My obsession with anime/manga is matched by my obsession with horror/martial arts movies.

The most amount of time I have ever sat and gamed is 23 hours straight (dang Final Fantasy).

Gamer snack: doritos and Sunny Delight (Cali Style)!

I model for food and act for a living. Neither pay the bills.

I am severely addicted to pastries!

I hate awkward silences, so I fill them in with really bad jokes and nervous laughter.

I’m studying Anthropology and will eventually get into Nautical Archaeology… just because I can.

I have OCD. I can’t sleep unless I lock the front door three times, I can’t focus if the curtains are wrinkled, and I get antsy if I see a piece of lint on the ground.

Video games are my source of escape. RPGs allow me to live in another world, with another life, with no consequences.

  1. *blink* You love horror movies too? Awesome. I have this one goal of one day having a closet full of horror movies. It is my favorite genre of film. From old movies like “Freaks” and “Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde” (J. Barrymore version) to what is coming out now from the US, Japan and Europe. Oh and don’t forget the great ones from the 70s. I love horror movies.

  2. I looooove horror movies! It’s the one thing I know more about than anime! It’s also my favorite genre! I used to rent them randomly when I was younger; my goal was to watch every single one ever made! I look at that goal now and think, “um, yeah right!” Hahaha! :P

  3. Hey, never hurts to try. Every time I get some extra cash, off I am to where ever I can find some cheap horror dvds. I have a pretty good size collection right now. And the worst part is, for as careful as I am with buying other movies, I would buy a horror movie without even knowing if it is good or not. Just the fact that it might scare me at one point or another. Love it!!

  4. OMG! I bought “All Souls Day: Dia de los Muertos” a while back because it has Danny Trejo in it…. bad move in a good way. It’s soooooo bad and the acting is dreadful!! It’s entertaining though (haha)! Plus, David Keith is in it and he has NOT aged at all!!!! :D

  5. Oh, that movie was awesome. I loved it. My friend hated it, but I was like dude, how could you not like it.

  6. Raychul and VampireKitten are also HUGE Horror movie buffs!

  7. Raychul the zombie huntress and VampireKitten the vixen! Dang… I need one of those handy dandy horror movie names! :D

  8. What about Traycee the Tracker or Traycee the Terror?

  9. Traycee the Terror rocks!! My nickname in middle school was Crazy legs Traycee, 1) because I liked horror (and still do), and 2) because I was the BEST at tetherball! *random*

  10. I loved tetherball. Until I broke my gfs nose like that. Well, as much as a gf as one can have at that age.

  11. That sucks!! I cracked my wrist in a kung-fu class…. but that’s it… it never healed right.. still hurts! :(

  12. Ha, my friend, don’t even get me started on broken and cracked and sliced parts of the body. I would talk for hours on what has happened to me.

  13. Yikes… you’re right, I don’t wanna know. The funny thing is I can watch gore and guts on T.V., but I cannot hear/see it in real life. I just can’t.

  14. Really, aw you are no fun. *rasberries*

  15. ICK! Ok… I can admit that I don’t mind injuries on myself… I’m always proud to show off a new war wound… but everytime a friend of mine gets a boo-boo, it never looks cool.. it always looks downright gross… like a goblin is gonna jump out of it!

My hubby is friends with a few pro skaters… and their injuries are just………. *shudders*

  16. Haha. Yeah, my wife is always like “You need to stop sky diving/racing/biking/ so on cause you can’t be hurt now that you have kids” blah blah blah. Funny thing, all those injuries and not one scar to show for it. Not even surgical ones.

  17. “I have a foul mouth. Worse than a drunken sailors’ actually.”

We should get along juuuuuust fine. I like to make up strings of cuss words with random stuff thrown in to mix it up a bit… My new favorite involves fire and corn cobs. Hehe!
