Mandy Madness!

Small Talk: Originally from a suburb of Columbus, Ohio, I currently call Cincinnati my home. I went to the University of Cincinnati where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice with a minor in Spanish Lit & Latin American Studies. I work at an immigration law firm, where I spend my days filling out countless forms, mostly for IT consultants who are working temporarily or applying for permanent residency in the US. I don’t plan on staying there forever though. My master plan is to get my Master’s degree in Creative Writing. I suffer from chronic changing of life plans, but, I’m hoping this one will stick. I’d like to write crime fiction and teach true crime/crime fiction literature classes at the college level. I have 2 cats, Kanga and Roo.

Gaming: I grew up with Nintendo, Kings Quest, and Sim City. My most memorable gaming moment is when our PC crashed, and I lost all my progress working my way up to Super Sleuth on Where in the World is Carmen San Diego? You can now find me playing across most mediums of gaming. I spend an intermittent amount of time playing World of Warcraft, but when I’m not addicted to WoW, I enjoy mainly platform and puzzle games. My favorites include Fable, Tetris and the Phoenix Wright Series. Yoshi is my character of choice.

Other hobbies: When I’m not working, gaming or sleeping, you can find me reading a book, crusing the internet or watching movies. My book and movie tastes parallel my infatuation with the criminal mind. I love psychological thrillers and pretty much anything to do with the law. If it isn’t obvious, my favorite author is John Grisham. I also enjoy Alice Sebold, and of course, the Harry Potter series. My favorite actor is Christian Bale, and my favorite band is Guster. I also just bought my first sewing machine, and am working on leveling that skill.
